21" x 27" Inspired by her love of brightly mixed flowers in the garden, Gorris recreated that burst of color in this painting. Done entirely in acrylics, she used the "swipe" technique to create the backdrop. The cells are urged forward on the canvas by silicone added to the paint. She then added individual flowers with dobs of paint, blowing them out with a straw to imitate petals. She embellished with gold accents and outlined the inner workings of each flower with white. The piece has a simple white frame.
